GAME 3: A Delaying Action
After a victory at Livry, and showing some concern about the number of Support Options the British forces have available, the German force has decided to pass the initiative back to the British and pull back in an organised retreat to Villers-Bocage. This will allow them a better defensive position and time to dig an entrenchment.
After last mission, the German forces suffered no casualties, with the British forces suffering one casualty and an injury. The injured trooper was able to rejoin his platoon in time for this mission as the German forces decided to retreat.
British: 22 men. 1 Senior Leader, 3 Junior Leaders, 18 troops
German: 24 men. 1 Senior Leader, 3 Junior Leaders, 20 troops
All newly promoted Junior Leaders were accepted by their men after the previous battle and have no command penalties.
At this time the British and German personality list and force chart will remain the same as last mission.
Game 3: Mission 4: Delaying Action – British Victory
GAME 4: Flank Attack
Defending Villers-Bocage the Germans suffered a catastrophic defeat. They are on the run, attempting to regroup and meet up with replacements, on the road to Point 213.

The Germans suffered immensely all bar 8 of their forces were captured after being pinned by mortar fire. They will meet up with replacements (14 fresh men)

The initiative has passed to the Germans who have decided to advance on Villers-Bocage. They are now the attackers.
The British suffered 9 casualties, only 2 will return next mission. 4 were killed and another 3 wounded to return the mission after. Replacements were called up, with 14 fresh soldiers available.

GAME 6: Flank Attack
** Please Note. Alex will be on holidays for a 6 week period. No campaign games will be played in that time but I’ll continue putting up CoC/ Army posts.
Game 6: Mission 5: Flank Attack – Not played. British withdrawal.
Update: Thinking about his difficult situation, Sgt Hardball requested a strategic withdrawal to more defensible ground. This would also allow him more time for his troops to return to duty. HQ agreed and the order was given to move back to the hilltop west of Villers-Bocage.
This withdrawal will allow the 14 stragglers and injured to be combat ready again, giving Sgt Hardball more of a fighting chance,
GAME 7: Attack on an Objective

You have done a great job here! Everything is top-notch. I’m in the bginning stages of creating a 1940 Arras campaign and thought I’d follow your examples. Is there any way you can share the templates you’ve created? I noticed a post on the TFL forum that you are willing to share. 🙂
cheer,
Dave

Matt,
Would I be able to get those templates as well? I’m looking to build similar campaigns for several parts of Normandy and beyond soon. Loving the games so far.
Best,
Gunnar
